Aqueous Cabinet Parts Washers FAQ's & Info
Unique "Nothing
Down the Drain" Design Eliminates Wastewater Disposal Problems with Zero
Discharge to the Sewer. Hydro-Blast™ Aqueous Parts Washers: Clean parts without solvents and evaporate the
wastewater. Hot water and
biodegradable detergent clean parts in minutes. This eliminates both employee
exposure to solvents that cause sore, cracked hands from cleaning parts with
solvents and solvent disposal problems. How it works. Simply load the parts, close the door and set the timer. Parts clean
automatically while skilled employees continue to work on productive tasks.
Parts are cleaned with hot water and biodegradable chemicals. The unwanted
contaminates are stripped away. Parts quickly air dry. Why it works. Increased productivity means increased profitability. Time is money and
a Hydro-Blast™ Aqueous Parts Washer will save you both. Hydro-Blast, Inc. products are
engineered to meet the high demands of industrial cleaning, the EPA's
hazardous solvent and ozone depleting guidelines, and to eliminate wastewater
disposal problems. A Hydro-Blast™ Aqueous Parts Washer is cost effective. How does an Aqueous Parts Washer work? Dirty parts are loaded into a cabinet and rotated through spraying water
heated up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. As the parts heat up, contaminates are
flooded away by the high volumes of heated water and detergent. Who uses an Aqueous Parts Washer? Some common applications include manufacturers, remanufactures,
automotive, diesel and fleet maintenance repair shops, aircraft maintenance,
and agricultural shops, Some interesting applications include a pasta
factory, computer companies, North Slope Oil fields, aerospace manufacturers
and candle glass cleaning. Organizations using Hydro-Blast Parts Washers
include NASA, Edelbrock, Easton Sporting goods, General Electric Jet Engine
Division, the US Military, Caterpillar, Weyerhaeuser, John Deere repair
facilities, and many others. Why use an Aqueous Parts Washer? Environmental regulations are mandating the phase out of many
chlorinated solvents and ozone depleting chemicals. While replacement
chemicals have been found, their total safety and applicability have not been
researched satisfactorily. Cleaning with hot water and biodegradable
detergents is safe, cost effective, and labor efficient. Can Hydro-Blast build me a custom unit? YES! If your application requires more than a single stage washer (wash
only), Hydro-Blast, Inc. can custom engineer a multi-stage wash/rinse or a
wash/rinse/dry system for you. Hydro-Blast, Inc. prides itself in being able
to build custom units to meet your unique size, weight, height and cleaning
requirements. How long does it take to clean parts? Most parts clean within 10 to 20 minutes. The level of contamination,
the water temperature and the cleaning detergents all effect cleaning time. Why does a cabinet with zero degree
spray-jets clean better than one with fan nozzles? Zero degree nozzles maintain 70% of their impact force at 8 inches. A
fan nozzle only maintains 5% of its impact force at 8 inches. You never have
to remove them for cleaning. You never will break them during loading or
unloading. Why don't you use gaskets on your doors? Gaskets and door seals fail with high temperatures and time. They become
cut, mis-shaped, and eventually leak. We eliminate the need for gaskets with
our door design. Should I buy an electric or natural gas
parts washer? It depends on your
individual circumstances. Hydro-Blast, Inc. or your Dealer will help you pick
the best option. Why do you use a top drive mechanism? The top drive is a buffered drive mechanism. The belt can slip if a part
becomes lodged inside the cabinet. The top belt drive mechanism is located
outside of the wash environment for long life. What size unit do I need to clean my parts? Size your parts washer to the largest part you clean on a regular
basis. Advantages, Features and Benefits
